My 2003 Ford Escape began stalling at random inopportune times whenever I would take my foot off the gas pedal. Usually it would immediately restart. Then, one time it didn't. So I had it towed to Reyco. Now...if You Google "2003 Ford Escape stalling", You'll see a bunch of listings. Apparently this is a common problem with 2000's Escapes, which Ford didn't see fit to acknowledge or recall. People have written in about taking them to big box mechanic shops, private mechanics, and even Ford dealerships - and being soaked for everything from new batteries & alternators, to new transmissions. None of which are the problem. Reyco wouldn't give up until they found and fixed this for me. |
